Jennifer M. Davis-Lewis is writer, editor, director,
and producer of A Parallel Universe: A Journey Through Autism,
a documentary venturing into the autism spectrum and searching for
answers. This film, her first since her undergraduate studies, delves
into a subject of personal interest as a former teacher of Autistic
children.
In 1990, Jennifer was working as a production assistant
at a local news station and video productions house. As a first-time
parent and wife to a husband entering medical school, she left her
production position to instead work a combination of various jobs
including wedding photography and teaching at a school for children
with varying disabilities. After teaching for 12 years, she returned
to the world of film, founding JD Lewis Productions, and produced
A Parallel Universe.
She currently resides in Hershey, Pennsylvania with
her husband (now Dr. Lewis), two sons, and film sidekick, Jazzy.
